Finance application support
We support organisations' funding applications for energy efficiency upgrades, including the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) and the Scottish Public Sector Energy Efficiency Loan Scheme.
In 2023, AfZ's director Chris Joyce was instrumental in securing £16m for Transport for London (see press release) and £13m for Coventry University (see press release) during round 3C of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme. This included an energy-from-waste heat network connection for 8 university buildings, decarbonisation of maintenance depots, and air source heat pump retrofits at several large offices.
